Pastor Latia Suite

Reverend Suite accepted her call into the preaching ministry in July 2004 at Union Bethel AME Church in Randallstown Maryland, under the leadership of Reverend Charles T. Sembly. Rev. Suite served in various capacities at Union Bethel both prior to and after her acceptance into ordained ministry. Rev. Suite was ordained as an itinerant deacon in April 2007. Shortly after obtaining her ordination as itinerate deacon, Rev. Suite was selected to assist Rev. Joan King at St. Luke AME in Ellicott City, MD. Reverend Suite served as an assistant to Rev. King and minister to youth at St. Luke for eight years. Rev. Suite received her second ordination as itinerant elder in April 2009. Rev. Suite returned to Union Bethel in 2016 and served as minister to youth and young adults for seven years. On July 14, 2022, Bishop James L. Davis presented Rev. Suite with her first pastoral appointment to St. John AME Church in Hughesville, MD.

Rev. Suite continues to grow in her faith and in leadership within the AME church. She currently holds the office of Coordinator for the Washington Conference Women in Ministry.

Reverend Suite graduated with honors from Virginia State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She also holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree in Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary.

Reverend Suite is employed as the assistant director of Social Work at Sheppard Pratt Hospital.

Reverend Suite is a product of much prayer and encouragement. She is guided by the Lord and supported by her family. Reverend Suite is the daughter and Nathan and Victoria Eaton. Rev. Suite is married to Bro. Fred Suite Jr. God ordained this holy matrimony on May 11, 2013. In 2021 Rev. Suite and Bro Fred open their hearts and home and became foster parents. They thank God for those God has entrusted into their care.

Reverend Suite understands that every blessing comes from the Lord. She is encouraged by her favorite scripture Psalm 27; that the Lord is the strength of her life. She is motivated by her favorite hymn, which assures her that she will understand it better by and by.

Reverend Suite has a love for people, a love for family but most of all a love for God.
